TOUGH TIMES CALL FOR SOFT PEOPLE

Tough times call for soft people, controversial I know but take it like this. There are times in life when you are beaten from every side and all you try to do doesn’t work out, you feel like you’re alone and no one can understand. Things are tough, times are moving fast and problems are just getting thicker. In such circumstances we are lost and unsure of our direction. But the word of God tells us “come to me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest”. The bible offers many versus as such that show us in times of despair and desperation we should turn to God.
Now if during tough times we should earnestly rely on God, how can we do that? Well the word of God tells us that we should be like little children. But children are weak and fragile? Yes I know they are, and because they are helpless that’s what makes them have so much trust and faith in their parents. God wants us to be the same, He wants us to be broken before him, vulnerable and helpless to Him. He wants to be our lifeline. He wants when things get tough we look to Him and see our refuge, He is our way out.

For Him to be strong we have to be weak, for Him to be big we have to be small and for Him to save we have to be in need. So for us to be out of these tough times we have to believe, believe that only God can save us and thus it requires to be in complete surrender and submission to God’s will. We, therefore, have to be soft before God for Him to get us through hard times……

SOUL DEATHBED

What if you were to die today? What would you say? What would you do? What would you want people to say? What would you want them to do? As they stand around that rectangular 6 feet hole, as they sing about the sweet by and by, what would you want their memory be?
When we leave this world (and notice I say when coz we’ll all die), we won’t be able to take away anything but our memories. We’ve lived with so many things, done so many things and eventually we’ll only leave with a memory of them.
So many of us live fake lives, we become people who are not us. We don’t maximize our lives, we spend so much time trying to cover up our flaws and erase or ignore our mistakes that we end up doing worse, we end up making the biggest mistake of our life, and we end up not being true to ourselves. We don’t confront us, we run, and try to escape. We put on facades and pretend that life is hockey dory and yet while our bodies’ alive, our souls are dead. We need to be true to ourselves before it’s too late, before the sand ends in the hour glass, our clocks stop ticking and our sun goes down…
Live the life you deserve, live the life you’ve always wanted. Free yourself from things tying you down, things holding you back, you’re holding you back and no one else can live this life for you. Start taking responsibility, start making your own decisions without being influenced, stand your ground and always champion the truth (only you know the truth and for sure it shall set you free). So stop selling yourself short and stop deceiving others. Not everybody’s ready for the truth but we sure as hell need it. There is no better time, there’s only now.
Don’t let your soul be on the deathbed long before your body succumbs…

A moment of silence

There are these moments in life, moments of silence. And no I’m not talking about the kind for paying respect to the dead, I’m talking about the kind where heaven is still. The kind where everything around is loud and clear except for heaven. While the earth is busy bustling around noisily, in your soul there’s stillness, and not that cool waters stillness, there stillness where you can’t hear anything.
You wait and wait and wait some more for a sound or even the faintest of a whisper. And yet still there’s silence. Some of us may take it that God has shut down on us and that He’s somehow rejecting to hear us or refusing to hid our pleas. We get discouraged and depressed, we reach an all-time low, we find ourselves yearning for someone to notice us, we cry for attention.
But while we are busy noticing heavens silence and deafening the world with our desperate cry for attention we fail to use our other senses. while we are busy screaming how God is silent we fail to see how He’s busy at work around us, we fail to smell the sweet aromatic incense of our prayers, we fail to taste how sweet the Lord is, we fail to touch His unending grace and mercy and we fail to walk in His peace.
Personally I’ve had God go quiet on me one too many times but I don’t linger on in those moments of loneliness, I live for the days when I feel Him in a passing breeze, see Him in the beauty of a rose, hear Him in the laughter of children, feel Him in my mother’s loving embrace and walk in His divine favor. I don’t dwell on which sense of my body do I not see evidence of God’s existence but I choose to concentrate on the ones His presence is over powering.
Dear friends look for God and not just in familiar territory; look for where He is speaking which is pretty much in everything and everywhere. Launch out into the deep…..
